Music can be an important part of any funeral service. It might be that you choose pieces that were special to your loved one, or was their favourite song, or reminds you of special times. Normally there are three pieces of music (it can be more or less, there's no hard and fast rule) One to enter the chapel to, one in the middle (the reflection piece) and one to exit the chapel. Very often the reflection music is the most important and it serves many purposes.
Emotional Processing: Funeral reflection music provides a quiet, contemplative space for attendees to process their emotions. Music has a powerful ability to evoke feelings and memories, helping mourners connect with their grief and start to process the loss.

Spiritual or Reflective Atmosphere: Not everyone wants to include a relgious element to the service. The reflection music can provide an opportunity for those who want to, to say a silent prayer and seek spiritual solace.
Creating a Pause: Reflection music provides a pause in the service, allowing mourners to gather their thoughts, remember the deceased in their own way and take a moment before they say a final goodbye.
Facilitating Mourning: By giving space for reflection, the music helps attendees to mourn collectively yet individually, offering a shared experience that respects the personal nature of grief.
