I have been working as an Independent Funeral Celebrant for a few months now and it is something I really enjoy. In that time, I've met some amazing people and it's been a real honour to be involved in the final tributes being paid to their loved ones.
When I first did my training, my plan was to always extend my skillset so that I could be involved in all the precious moments in your family's life.
I can now conduct wedding celebrations, please note I am not a registrar, so once you've done the legal bit, which normally takes place the day before and I can talk you through the process, I can officiate at the celebration in front of your family and friends.
I will work with you to create a one of a kind ceremony that will encapsulate your love story, it will be something written especially for you and I can incorporate elements such as handfasting, a sand ceremony, drinking from the Quaich, an oathing stone or a parental blessing – there are many options we can include to make the ceremony totally unique and something that really captures your personalities and love.
I can also officiate at vow renewals, so if you're looking to re-affirm your vows, whether it's to celebrate a milestone in your relationship or to tell your spouse just how much you are still in love with them. A vow renewal is appropriate at any stage of your marriage and I would be honoured to work with you to help you put something together to celebrate your love.
A baby blessing or naming ceremony is non-religious, but it is a wonderful way of introducing your family and friends to the newest member of your family, however you have become a family.
Working together, I can help you create a beautiful and unique ceremony that will help you celebrate being a family with your nearest and dearest and confirm your life-long commitment to your child as you prepare to guide and nurture them throughout their life.
The ceremonies can be combined with symbolic rituals such as sand ceremonies, tree planting or candle lighting.
Naming ceremonies are suitable for children of all ages; babies, toddlers, older children, adopted children and stepchildren.
